Restaurant Kohlern

The Colle, one of the mountains around Bolzano, is a popular place for numerous hikes in unspoilt nature. In a few minutes by cable car from Bolzano you can quickly reach the top station of Colle, where there is also the picturesque restaurant Kohlern.

Come in and let the atmosphere of the house, built in Alpine Art Nouveau style, make you fall in love, while the friendly and courteous staff will take you to your table on the large sun terrace or in the characteristic stube. If you look at the menu you will immediately notice how traditional it is - the experienced kitchen team offers local and seasonal recipes under new interpretation, always with regional ingredients. 

From appetizers such as the smoked Bolzano dish or lukewarm veal head, asparagus cream soup or bacon dumplings in soup, to hot homemade appetizers such as "Schlutzkrapfen" or potato dumplings with braised beef and main courses such as "Bolzano Herrengröstl", "Lammrücken" or the Milanese cutlet.  Of course, every culinary experience also includes a good glass of wine, and especially from the cellar of the "Südtiroler Gasthaus", with over 300 fine wine labels.
