Oberkaseralm
About Oberkaseralm
Situated between the well-known Spronser lakes, the Oberkaseralm is a fantastic stop on an excursion through the alpine hiking region. It offers all mountain lovers delicious hut food, cosy places to sleep and of course a magnificent view.
Mountain and hut hikers can make themselves comfortable on the large sun terrace of the Oberkaseralm refuge and fortify themselves with warm, hearty meals throughout the day. In wind and weather, it's easy to wander into the comfortable parlours.
The excellent cuisine of the Oberkaseralm is known for its many home-grown products, which make the dishes on the traditional menu so unique. On the Speckbrettl, for example, you will find homemade alpine butter, home-smoked speck and Kaminwurzen. The roast lamb also comes from the farm, and the dumplings and sweet desserts are of course homemade and freshly baked.
You can also spend the night at the Oberkaseralm. Comfortable shared rooms or mattresses are available for your stay at the refuge. The delicious hut breakfast in the morning is included.
From Gasthof Hochmut in Dorf Tirol you can reach the Oberkaseralm via the Jägersteig trail in about 2.5 hours, but the refuge can also be reached by starting at the Leiteralm in Algund, in Partschins or Pfelders.
