Saltner Schwaige

On the Alpe di Siusi, situated at the foot of the famous Sassolungo, surrounded by lush green meadows, lies the Saltner Schwaige. In addition to the quaint old cottage the new Saltner Schwaige was completed in the summer 2011. Located near the Florian lifts it is a popular retreat destination for hikers in summer and skiers in winter.

With a warm welcome and cozy atmosphere, guests enjoy delicious typical South Tyrolean dishes and Italian specialties, together with refreshing drinks. The eye rests - depending on the season - on green pastures or snowy slopes.
The name "Saltner" actually refers to the herdsmen who tend to the cattle in the pastures during the summer. The horses and goats, in the host Ciabattoni family's care, enjoy living on the large pastures outside the hut and look forward to a visit and pats from children.
