Situated on the southern slopes of the Plankenhorn, nearby Reinswald, the Getrumalm offers a magnificent panoramic view of the Getrum Valley and the Sarntal Alps.From the end of December to the end of October, the friendly hosts Anni and Heiner will spoil you with typical South Tyrolean dishes in one of their parlours or on the sunny terrace with a unique panoramic view.
In summer, the alpine pasture can be reached via peaceful, picturesque hiking trails and forest roads. It is also an ideal location to start tours or to take a rest stop on the way to popular excursion destinations such as the Latzfonser Kreuz, the Kassianspitze, the Getrumsee or the Getrumspitze. Due to the access to the hut by cable railway from Reinswald to the Pichlberg, the alp is a perfect excursion destination for families with children, as it can be reached easily and in a short time.
Ski tourer, snowshoe hikers and hikers will also benefit during the winter season, because the well-kept hiking trail leads you directly from the Pichlberg hut to the alp. The Getrumalm also rents toboggans for a downhill run, which can be returned to the ski rental at the valley station.
