Malga/ Baita Messnerjoch

The welcoming Messnerjoch hut is located at Tires, nearly at 2,000 metres above sea level, at the foot of the towering Catinaccio. The Damian family spoil their hosts in the peaceful and sunny hut situated in the hiking paradise of the Dolomites, with exquisite homemade dishes, with a slice of hospitality and good humour. The homemade dishes can be tried in an agreeable atmosphere on the sunny terrace or the Stube, a typical Alto Adige living room. From mid-May to the beginning of November and from Christmas to Easter it is possible to explore the Messnerjoch region and to have a take a break in the pleasant hut.
The Messnerjoch hut is an ideal hiking destination for families and elderly people. The nimble and quick children run in the fields and along the tracks that lead to the hut. More ambitious hikers can prolong their walks as the hut can be accessed from Tires as well as Catinaccio, from the Passo Nigra, Nova Levante and the Passo di Costalunga which makes magnificent round trips
