About Gostner Schwaige

'Fresh and genuine' is what head Chef, Franz Mulser, believes in when cooking at the Gostner Schwaige, on the Alpe di Siusi. It is here that he charms restaurant-goers with exquisite, homemade dishes. Franz Mulser worked in the starred kitchen of the Obauer Brothers and deepened his knowledge at the Tantris in Munich. Today he charms guests in the small kitchen of the picturesque hut, serving unforgettable dishes and true culinary gemstones. A memory to treasure forever, thanks to their unique taste obtained using local products.
A tasty 'Heusuppe', a hay soup, served in a bread bowl, or a scrumptious meat dish and to finish a fluffy and delicious Kaiserschmarren. Sometimes the preparation of the dishes may take longer than expected, but the guests are happy to wait a while longer on the sunny terrace. The refreshing beverages and the dream-like atmosphere contribute to the sense of peace and quiet. Winter sees up to 25 guests warming up in the warm and cosy Stube.
The kitchen is open of an evening too, but only prior booking. This picturesque hut is well-worth a visit every season of the year. It lies in the perfect location during summer for hikers and mountain bikers, but it is also a beloved family spot as it can be reached by gondola lift in 30 minutes. During winter guests can leave their skis and boots at the door and enjoy a well-deserved break.
