Göge Alpine Lodge
About Göge Alpine Lodge
The Göge Alm in Weissenbach in the Ahrntal valley has a fantastic location. Grey rocks tower behind the hut, while lush green meadows spread out in front of it under the fresh alpine air.
The Göge Alm is a truly peaceful spot: leave the stress of everyday life at home and treat yourself to a hearty plate of shepherd's macaroni or a warm speck dumpling soup. If you order in advance, you can take advantage of the large selection of self-made cakes and delicious breakfasts!
The homemade South Tyrolean mountain hut dishes taste delicious, whether in the warming wooden parlour or on the sunny terrace. The children romp around in the playground behind the hut, because there they really have plenty of room to play!
Worth mentioning is also the small romantic chapel "Maria Schnee": she is not only an eye-catcher, but also masses are sometimes held in summer for various events.
The Göge Alm is particularly popular with hikers as a place to stop for refreshments and is also a good starting point for climbing various peaks. Here you can sit comfortably in the sun and enjoy the fresh air and typical delicacies of the region in peace and quiet.
Experience a relaxing get-together in good company or with the family - where all is still well in the world. Several hiking trails lead to the Göge Alm and great circular hikes in this area are also perfect for exploring the surroundings, such as the Chemnitzer Hütte, which is only a 1-hour walk away.
A visit to the Göge Alm is always a wonderful experience!
Open from the beginning of June until mid-October - no closing day!
