Baita Seurasas
About Baita Seurasas
"On the stone" - that's what "Seurasas" means in Ladin. The name of the hut above S. Cristina in Val Gardena is therefore nothing other than the name of an alpine pasture that has been managed for more than two centuries. The Seurasas Hut was initially a cooking hut, used by shepherds and reapers as shelter. In 2009 it was completely rebuilt and expanded and reopened to guests, with one thing has not changed in all these years, even decades - i.e. the shots here are called by the Runggaldier family.
They care sincerely for the many guests who do not mind the way to the Seurasas Hut at the foot of the Pic mountain - over 2000 meters above sea. Whether on foot or by mountain bike, whether you are a sportsperson or a family, whether you are a nature lover or just seeking peace - at the hut everyone is looked after. And everything - from the palate with its hearty Tyrolean specialties to the eye with its stunning panorama that comprises some of the most famous peaks of the Dolomites, i.e. Sella, Sassolungo and Sasso Piatto, as well as the symbol of South Tyrol, the Sciliar.
The large terrace of the Seurasas Hut is the most beloved corner for most guests also because of its view. Here you can soak up the sun, enjoy the pleasant temperatures and recover from your hiking or bike ride. Kids will also have the time of theit life - right next to the hut the Runggaldier family has set up a playground and a petting zoo with rabbits, goats and sheep. So that the parents' rest and relax is disturbed by absolutely nothing at all.
